Sounds like someone walking on roof.

There are loud banging noises coming from our attic roof. Sheetal i did not hear any voices just footsteps walking and some running on the roof. Mine is the noises that come from the roof at night. Squirrels doesn t really make too much sounds but raccoons possums or rats makes a pretty big sound when they move.

Mice make scratching sounds squirrels sound like normal human footsteps magpies make an unearthly racket. It comes from all around the room. One that can make people lose themselves and distort reality. As i sit here in bed trying to get some sleep i cannot.

I am not a roof expert but it is your typical pitched roof. Its not all in one area. It could be any number of animals walking around on your roof. It literally sounds like someone punching sheetrock.

For most people though there is that one crippling and heart stopping phobia that can leave them paralyzed. It actually sounds like the roof could rip off the house. This noise is so bad because it sounds like someone is walking on the roof. Most of the noises seem to be coming from the top of the walls.

Some of them almost sounds like a person going back and forth the roof. I used to hear them a lot as a child. We haven t slept in this house yet but it sounds like this noise appears usually in the morning when sun starts to warm up the roof and after the sun goes down and roof cools off. The noise could be coming from your roof during the hottest days of the summer when the rays of the sun beat down on the shingles.

I m afraid it s going to collapse because when the wind blows it makes a scary popping noise. Right now it is 8 degrees f outside. Elnoraemily there is virtually no humidity here.
